Chapter 1 Short Answer questions

Question 1: Name two advances or developments that have occurred in technology since the 1970s that you feel have had significant effects on education, and explain why these technological changes had such effects.
The two advances of development are microcomputers and also the increase of use from laptop. Which helps to increase in the use of World Wide Web, networking or even bloggers and chat room and other things. Due to these advances I believe that this have broad in are technology with is making information more widely found. Which let's everything in the world speed up

Question 2: Discuss one emerging trend in technology and the effect it could have on classrooms and schools.
Due to the emerging trend in technology there is so much happening everyday. The biggest one I believe is the use of portable devices. First off it let's you be able to just log on anywhere you are, you don't have to sit at a desk or etc. You can take it anywhere you go, while the desktop you just leave there. I believe these technologies make classrooms and schools more flexible and can fit into anyone life, while desktop you need a whole room for them. When portable computers you can bring them in whenever you need them. I think it gives the young kids more to do with there lives then just hanging out and getting into trouble, this is a good learning experience. It also helps people who have learning disabilities do everything someone without disabilities can do. It is a main thing that all students should know because this developing idea is so important to are growing generation.

Question 3: Explain reasons for developing an electronic portfolio.
This portfolio is a great way to show everyone in the world at anytime what your skills are or what you have been doing in a certain class or even for your major. It helps others to learn about you and also how you work and what your work looks like. It can also show a school or teacher all of the awards or things that you have done good or bad. And they can get a feel of who you are without having to meet you one on one.
